Our Story
Founded in 1957 by Roland (Rollie) and Pearl Bast, who began with four school buses serving the Germantown school district, the company continues to be family-owned with second, third, and fourth-generation Bast Family members. For more than 65 years, we’ve grown and expanded to be one of the nation’s largest, most dependable transportation providers. Our service offerings have expanded to include team & group travel, meetings & events, contracted shuttle programs, private car service, and more.
GO Riteway’s fleet is among the newest and most comfortable in the industry. From luxury sedans, SUVs, and vans, to school buses, premium minicoaches, and motorcoaches…we serve groups of any size.
Our reputation as a regional leader in our industry is unmatched, but our service area stretches far beyond our Midwest roots. With services anywhere in the contiguous United States, GO Riteway and our subsidiary company Cardinal Buses are ready to serve you.

1957
Roland (Rollie) & Pearl Bast started the company with 4 school buses serving Germantown school district.
1974
Opened new office and garage in Richfield, Wisconsin.
1984
Purchased first motorcoach to provide charter and tour service.
1985
We opened a second location in the Milwaukee area to service nearby additional school districts in Cedarburg, Grafton, Glendale and the Milwaukee area.
1988
We built a Cedarburg terminal to service Cedarburg and Grafton School districts.
1992-2001
Awarded school bus transportation contracts for Holy Hill, Milton, Portage, Northern Ozaukee, Nicolet Area Transportation Coop, Erin, Oak Creek, and Slinger school districts.
2003
Introduced Commercial Ride Service options such as luxury sedans, SUVs, and executive vans to provide service to a new customer base.
2005
Awarded school bus transportation contract for Poynette school district.
2010-2011
Awarded school bus transportation contracts for Brown Deer and Edgerton school districts.
2011
Rebranded as GO Riteway Transportation Group to better illustrate our expanded offerings of business & leisure travel, airport service, and group travel.
2014-2018
Awarded Wisconsin school bus transportation contracts for Pewaukee, Mequon-Thiensville, La Crosse, Elmbrook, Deerfield, Watertown, and Waupaca school districts.
2019
Acquired Cardinal Buses out of Middlebury, Indiana & Holland, Michigan. Acquired Marshall, Wisconsin-based Lazers Bus Service.
2020
Despite pandemic limitations, GO Riteway found success in assuming the UW-Madison Shuttle Service contract.
2021
Began operation of the City of West Bend Taxi service. Awarded school bus transportation contracts for West Bend School District and Hartford area school districts. We now service over 40 Wisconsin school districts, 500 companies and thousands of individuals in the region.
2022
Acquired facility in Madison, WI and built new facilities in West Bend, WI and the Grand Rapids, MI area. Also awarded school bus transportation contracts for Evansville and Oconomowoc school districts.
2023
Began operation of the Ozaukee County Transit Express and Shared Ride services. Acquired facility in DeKalb, IL for expanded operations in northern Illinois
